Terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Starry AI Inc. ("Quest", "we", "us") about Quest, a service that texts you one thing to find outside each day. By signing up you agree to them.
1. Text messages
- What you get: one quest a day at the time you chose, short replies when you send a photo or a message, a picture of your photos each week during your trial, and account messages such as the reminder before your trial ends. That's usually one to three messages a day.
- How it starts: after checkout you send us a text from your phone. Messages are delivered by iMessage, so Quest needs an Apple device.
- Stopping: reply STOP to any message at any time. We'll confirm, send nothing more, and cancel your plan (section 2). Reply HELP for help, or email hello@starryai.com.
- Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Carriers and Apple are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
2. Free trial, billing and cancelling
- Your 14 free days start when we receive your first text, not at checkout. If you never send it, you are never charged.
- When the trial ends, your plan renews automatically: $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, whichever you chose, charged to the card or wallet you saved, and again each month or year until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars and include no tax unless shown.
- We text and email you two days before the trial ends with the date, the price and a cancel link.
- Cancel any time from that link or by replying STOP. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing; your quests continue until the trial ends (STOP ends them right away). Cancel a paid plan and it won't renew; you keep your quests until the end of the period you paid for, unless you reply STOP.
- Payments are not refundable except where the law requires. If something went wrong, email us and we'll make it right.
3. Your photos
Your photos stay yours. You give us permission to store them, to make your weekly picture from them, and to look at them to run and improve Quest, as described in our Privacy Policy. Only send photos you have the right to send, and don't send anything illegal or hurtful. Be safe and respect private property and other people's privacy when you look for your quest.
4. The service
Quest is new, and we may change or stop it. If we stop it, we'll cancel your plan and refund any unused part of a paid period. We provide Quest "as is", without warranties, to the extent the law allows. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
5. General
Quest is for people in the United States aged 13 or over (under 18 with a parent's permission). These terms are governed by Delaware law. Before filing a claim, contact us at hello@starryai.com and give us 30 days to resolve it. We'll post any changes here and email you first if they matter.
